What is SizeKit?

SizeKit is a free website with a photo resizer that helps you meet pixel-size and file-size limits on online forms, eight everyday calculators and converters, and guides that explain how they work.

Is SizeKit free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it is free to use and there is nothing to sign up for. You do not need an account, and the tools do not ask for an email address.

Who runs SizeKit?

How do the calculators work?

Each calculator uses a published formula that is written out on its page, together with a worked example. Calculations run in your browser using JavaScript, so you can compare any result with the example on the page.

Are the results exact?

Unit conversions use the exact international definitions, but results are rounded for display. Percentage and discount results are plain arithmetic. BMI and age results are estimates or conventions, as explained on their pages. Always double-check results that matter.

Is the BMI calculator medical advice?

No. BMI is a general screening number for adults. It does not measure body fat and does not diagnose anything. Speak to a qualified health professional about your health. See the disclaimer.

Why does the age calculator sometimes differ from another site?

Months have different lengths, so methods differ for birth dates at the end of a month and for 29 February. The age guide explains the method SizeKit uses.

Do the calculators add tax?

No. The discount calculator and the percentage tools do not add sales tax, VAT, delivery charges or fees. Add them separately using the rate that applies to you.

Are my photos uploaded to your servers?

No. Resizing and compression happen in your browser. SizeKit does not send the photo you select to a server or save it in an online account. Download your result before closing or reloading the page.

Why is my photo smaller than the KB limit I set?

The limit is a maximum, not an exact size. SizeKit finds a quality setting that fits under it. If a form also needs a minimum size, check the downloaded file against both limits.

What happens if the photo cannot fit my limit?

SizeKit shows an error and keeps your chosen dimensions. You can raise the KB limit, reduce the dimensions if the form allows it, or crop the photo elsewhere first. The 100 KB guide covers this in detail.

Which file types are supported?

You can open JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels, and download JPG or WebP. HEIC, PDF and PNG output are not supported, and the tool does not crop photos.

Does SizeKit track me or store what I type?

The calculators and photo tool do not send your inputs anywhere. The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes ordinary request data. SizeKit may show Google AdSense ads, which can use cookies. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Does SizeKit show ads?

The site may display ads from Google AdSense in the future or from time to time. Ads should never replace or hide the tools, and they are labelled by the advertising provider.

I found a mistake or a bug. How do I report it?

Can you add a calculator or guide I need?

Suggestions are welcome through the contact page. New tools are added only when they can be explained clearly and tested properly.
